P.C. Simonton & Associates, Inc. is a consulting engineering firm established in 1980 to provide civil/sanitary engineering services to private and municipal clients. The firm offers a wide range of engineering services which include water and sewer facilities analysis and design, evaluation and design of drainage facilities, roadway and pavement design,
landscape architecture, site planning, limited soils testing, and construction monitoring. This wide range of experience has been of value to many of our clients that have either placed our firm on retainer or awarded projects on a contract basis.
For the past eighteen years, the main office of P.C. Simonton & Associates, Inc. has been located in Hinesville, Georgia. From this location, our professional staff is able to provide personal service to our clients in southeast Georgia. In addition, we have another office in middle/north Georgia to better serve our growing client base in that area of the state. Currently that office is located in Greensboro, Georgia. This location allows us to serve current clients in the middle and northern part of the state without dealing with the traffic delays and logistics associated with Atlanta traffic.
P.C. Simonton & Associates, Inc. is a small business concern and currently operates with a staff of fourteen people, including five Design Professionals. We also provide GIS mapping capabilities in support of our design efforts. The productivity of our highly efficient staff is enhanced by the use of fully functional computer aided design stations utilizing AutoCad software. In addition, an extensive library of engineering software augmented by the latest word processing and reproduction technology is available to our technical staff. This ensures that our projects are completed on time and within budget.
While our Geographical Information System (GIS) department is valuable in supporting the design effort, it also serves as a valuable mapping tool for our clients. The ability to produce parcel maps with aerial overlays or to provide timely updates of utility system expansions can be invaluable to growing communities.
In addition to supplying the information in a graphical format this system allows data to be attached to the graphics with annotations and allows queries of the data instantly. Many times GIS maps and data are developed by Regional Development Centers during preparation of the state required Comprehensive Growth Management Plan. Our plans are prepared in a manner that allows the improvements to be incorporated into those GIS systems already developed. These maps usually include utility systems, drainage facilities, wetland boundary, topography and flood plain facilities annotated to include specific data, that could easily be coordinated with the growth management plan data to provide the client with a strong planning tool and be of a great benefit in future planning.
P.C. Simonton & Associates, Inc., began practice in the Atlanta area utilizing experience gained in over 10 years of design and construction activity in that area. The vast experience in the municipal market, which included obtaining financing for the engineering projects, created a demand for the firm to expand services to markets in South Georgia. Utilization of grants and funding assistance became an integral part of the engineering scope of services with many clients. The client base in South Georgia requiring this overall service grew to such an extent that required relocation of the main office to that area. Since that time our client base has expanded to include the entire state, which again has required action. This action, rather than relocation, will be expansion back into the area of our beginning. Our office in Greensboro, Georgia has provided the base of operation site planning and landscape architecture for servicing the municipal and private clients in the middle and northern part of the state.
This fully staffed office offers full design and construction
services.
P.C. Simonton & Associates, Inc., serves as the engineer of record for many developers and municipalities across the state. We consider these Clients partners in business and approach our projects with them as joint efforts in accomplishing a common goal. These services are provided on a project basis for some clients and on a retainer basis for others.
